Laura Westcott, Founder

Laura is a classically trained musician and former PR Manager and reviewer for The Times.

Laura worked at The Times in London for eight years before transferring to New York to become News Corporation’s Content Editor in 2012, where she gained valuable insight into the crazy world of synchronisation.

Laura created Soundcheque after finding a gap in the market for sourcing quality music in an easy and ethical way. Soundcheque’s aim is to ensure that musicians are recognised and rewarded fairly for their talent.

Laura is also the Founder of two music charities – Sound for Sight for the visually impaired and Music for Mental Wealth, a platform that provides coaching and support to people within the music industry – and is the Creative Director of live music agency TALENTBANQ. She sings Soprano in The London Philharmonic Choir and is a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts.
