What is Soundcheque?
Soundcheque is an artist-friendly music agency that specialises in synchronisation, live events and public relations.
Soundcheque unites people needing music with people making music. Our mission is for clients to have the best music available, and for musicians to be recognised and rewarded fairly for their talent.
If you are looking for the next Ennio Morricone, Carole King or John Lennon – then look no further. Soundcheque represents thousands of established and emerging artists from all genres around the world. Whether it’s a theme song for your TV show, background music for an app or a full orchestral score for your film – Soundcheque can help. There are no hidden costs, and if we can’t find the music you want – you pay nothing.
Musicians can join for free and submit music for media, film, video games and TV. We are non-exclusive and take no ownership of rights unless you want us to manage publishing. We also provide a platform for artists to be discovered by filmmakers, creative directors and music supervisors at our monthly ‘Que the Music’ live shows.

Who are we?
Laura Westcott, Founder and CEO
Laura is a classically trained musician and former PR Manager and reviewer for The Times.
Laura worked at The Times in London for eight years before transferring to New York to become News Corporation’s Content Editor in 2012, where she gained valuable insight into the crazy world of synchronisation.
Laura created Soundcheque after finding a gap in the market for sourcing quality music in an easy and ethical way. Soundcheque’s aim is to ensure that musicians are recognised and rewarded fairly for their talent.
Laura sings Soprano in The London Philharmonic Choir and is also the Founder of our annual fundraising gala Sound for Sight.
James Wilkinson, Head of Synchronisation
James is a professional musician and former sync specialist for Universal and BMG. James shares Soundcheque’s artist-friendly ethos and spent years performing at major festivals, including the main stage at Glastonbury with The Beta Band, as a classically-trained trumpeter. James was also a producer of orchestral recordings at Boosey & Hawkes before joining Rogo Scott Music.
Chris Ohman, Assistant Music Supervisor
Chris is a music business student and hobby multi-instrumentalist from New York with prior A&R and artist relations experience at multiple independent record labels in the US. Chris propagates connections with artists of all styles and genres, and helps the Soundcheque team bridge the gap between industry and artistry.
